Rainbow trout ditch is located in Yanqi Town, Huairou, which is an early tourism project developed in the suburbs of Beijing. It connects Jingmi Road to the South and Changping District to the north. It covers a total length of 50 kilometers, including 5 administrative villages, 13 natural villages and 3 natural scenic spots. Over the years of careful building, here gradually formed a one-stop industrial pattern of aquaculture, fishing, catering, processing and marketing, and became a well-known “Yanqi Night Valley” leisure and sightseeing fishery belt. Rainbow trout is a shining sign here. Rainbow trout grown in spring water, fresh and tender meat, crisp skin and less thorns, whether roasted or raw to eat fish fillets or other practices, have a different taste, is not as bright as other places.
Rainbow trout trench is 50 kilometers long. The trench is shaded by green trees and rippling streams. It is a folk tourism trench featuring natural scenic spots, rainbow trout fishing barbecue, fruit picking and so on. The ditch is close to Yanqihu Lake. The brand planning company is about an hour and a half away from the city. After driving to Huairou, it enters the ditch along Huaifeng Highway about 5 kilometers west of Yanqi Town’s Circle Island. From Dongzhimen to Huairou, it can also reach the scenic spots and hotels in the ditch.
There are 108 fishing gardens and resorts in the rainbow trout ditch. Among them, 54 resorts with investment of more than one million yuan can accommodate 12,000 people for employment and accommodation at the same time.
Origin of place names
The scientific name of a ditch is Shuntong Rainbow Trout Culture Center. In Beijing, when it comes to Huairou, people all know that it is a beautiful and tree-rich geomantic treasure land. I’m afraid few people know about Huairou Lotus Village, but it’s absolutely famous to say “rainbow trout ditch”. Rainbow trout is just a kind of cold-water fish in mountain streams of California, USA. In 1993, the Shentangyu scenic spot caught fire, and rainbow trout was also stained with light and introduced to Huairou.
The rainbow trout trench in the lotus pond is a comprehensive rainbow trout trench, which is centered on rainbow trout, golden trout, salmon, sturgeon and other cold water fish farming. It integrates barbecued rainbow trout, farm meals, farmyard residence, climbing the Great Wall of the wild and horseback riding. The reason why this ditch is called rainbow trout ditch in lotus pond is that the mountain springs in lotus pond are rich in water (3M3/s) and minerals, which are most suitable for the breeding and growth of rainbow trout, golden trout, salmon, sturgeon and other cold water fish. In 1989, with the deepening of reform and opening-up and the development of rural economy, more and more urban people came to Lianhuachi to taste rainbow trout. Under the guidance and supply of farms, Lianhuachi folk village and Beijingers came here to invest and construct, forming various forms of leisure fishing grounds, which gradually developed into a “rainbow trout ditch” that resounds all over the world today.
Rainbow trout trench tourism strategy
Driving routes:
Beijing (48Km) – Huairou (8Km) – Rainbow Trout Trench (total mileage 58Km)
There are two driving routes:
1. Beijing District takes Jingmi Road for about 40 minutes to Huairou Open Circle Island for Fengning direction, then turns left at Yanqi intersection and goes down the mountain for about 15 minutes before it reaches a rainbow trout ditch.
2. Take the Beijing-Chengdu Expressway and Huairou exit to Huairou County Town. After entering Huairou, we will go eastward along the main road of the urban area. Five or six kilometers later, we will see Yanqi Circle Island. Turn left and walk northward along the mountain highway. Another 10 kilometers or so is “Rainbow Trout Trench” in Lianhua Village.
Get accommodation:
There are many farmyards in the ditch that can be accommodated. They are all good. The most famous ones are “there” and “mountain bar”, but the price is not cheap.
Restaurant:
Mainly farm meals and rainbow trout, the most famous is rainbow trout, there are roasted rainbow trout, stewed rainbow trout, braised rainbow trout, fried fish steak, and so on, eat a variety of ways.
Travel time:
If time is tight, it is more than enough to come and go for a meal of fish on the same day, and to take a comfortable walk between green mountains and waters.
If there is no emergency, put the whole weekend here. In addition to eating rainbow trout twice more in conjunction with magic tricks, you can also go to Shentangyu scenic spot and turn around. At the foot of Shentangyu Great Wall, you can also find a small mountain village called Guandi by river. Many foreigners live a so-called hermit life here.
